Little Shop of Horrors


URP is celebrating their 15th Season and is excited to announce they will be mounting Little Shop of Horrors in January 2009.

Little Shop of Horrors is a musical based on the 1960 black comedy directed by Roger Corman. The music, composed by Alan Menken, is in the style of 1960’s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown. The show includes several show-stoppers such as Skid Row (Downtown), Somewhere That’s Green and  Suddenly, Seymour, as well as the title song.

One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time, this affectionate spoofof 1950’s sci-fi movies has become a house-hold name. Charming, tuneful and hilarious, with tongue firmly planted in cheek, Little Shop of Horrors never fails to entertain.
